Please ensure you read the terms and conditions carefully before you start agree to the service – we just want you to have the best experience possible. By placing an order we’ll assume you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to our terms and conditions.
Sending and return of original mediaRetrospect are not liable for any damage or loss incurred whilst your media is in the post. Accountability will be held with the couriers, we do advise you to package your tapes in a sensible manner to ensure safe transit.
Keeping your media safe
In the extremely unlikely event of us causing damage or loss to any of your material, we will compensate you up to the purchase value of the media. We can not accept responsibility for any media that arrives damaged or is in an unsuitable condition upon arrival. If we cannot convert your media due to the condition of the tape, we will refund or not charge you for the media, delivery charges may still apply.On extremely rare cases media can perish during the conversion process, we do everything to try and prevent this and make sure your tapes are safe. If this was to happen we cannot accept responsibility. Factors such as the age of the tapes and the way they have been stored are usually the cause. A refund may be given at our discretion in the unlikely event of this happening.Once your media has been converted, back-ups are kept and accessible for 3 years – we will always notify you in advance before any digital media is removed from the cloud. Backups will be kept on our hard drives for as long as possible as a precaution.
